Educator Appreciation Day

Join us for a FREE educator event to learn about field trip opportunities as you begin planning the 2026 –27 school year for your students. Explore three floors of immersive exhibits, enjoy a Giant Screen film and step into outdoor nature experiences. Don’t miss the chance to experience Fernbank for yourself, including our newest experience, Orkin Discovery Zone.
Field Trip Information | 11 a.m. — 1 p.m., Great Hall | 1st Floor
Meet a member of Fernbank’s Field Trip Team and learn about 2026-27 field trip offerings, including immersive field trip programs.
Orkin Discovery Zone|10 a.m. — 5 p.m. | 3rd Floor
Explore Fernbank’s newest experience, Orkin Discovery Zone, where hands-on investigations invite you to think like a scientist. Discover biodiversity, classification, biomimicry, the senses, communication, and the connections between nature and humans.
Museum Explorations | 10 a.m. — 5 p.m.
Enjoy access to all indoor and outdoor museum experiences and exhibits including Fernbank Forest and WildWoods, which currently features the special exhibit, Flight of Butterflies.
Giant Screen Theater| 1st Floor
Travel to different places through a movie in the Giant Screen Theater featuring Horse Power and T. rex 2D. Movies are shown on a first-come, first-served basis. Check out the showtimes before you visit.
Cost: This event is free for educators and one guest.*
Space is limited and advanced online reservations are required. Limit 2 complimentary tickets per educator.
