Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day with outdoor adventures, including:

  • Join the international City Nature Challenge competition by making nature observations using the iNaturalist app
  • Meet several species of wild animals up close—including a live hawk, owl, opossum and/or tortoise—with ambassadors from AWARE Wildlife Center*
  • Experience uplifting nature-themed 3D movies, including Hidden Pacific and Back from the Brink: Saved from Extinction**
  • Explore restoration efforts in Fernbank Forest with the Deep Forest Field School
  • Enjoy a tree and plant identification tour with Trees Atlanta
  • Discover how arborists assess and keep trees safe, healthy and beautiful with Arborguard.
  • See and learn about the creation of sustainable art with Atlanta-based artist Jiiri, and take home a custom coloring sheet inspired by the event.
