PNC Grow Up Great
The PNC Grow Up Great initiative inspires great futures by helping children from birth through age 5 get ready for school and develop a passion for learning that lasts a lifetime. In Atlanta, PNC Grow Up Great partners with the Alliance Theatre and Fernbank Museum to provide preschool and pre-K students with arts and science education through field trips, classroom visits and other resources. The program also supports exceptional education by providing on-the-job learning for pre-K educators.
We are proud to bring the PNC Grow Up Great program to all Atlanta Public Schools pre-K classrooms. Each year, every classroom and its students receive:
- Field trips to two of Atlanta’s major cultural institutions – Fernbank Museum and Alliance Theatre
- In-class lessons with experts in arts and science education
- Educator workshops focused on skills and tools for creating excellent learning environments
- An at-home learning kit for each student filled with science and arts education resources
The Curious Cardinal
Enjoy an animated short presented jointly by Fernbank Museum, the Alliance Theatre and PNC Grow Up Great. Join CC, a cardinal hatchling, as he meets his forest friends throughout the year.
Fernbank is a nonprofit natural history museum, giant screen theater and old-growth forest, and is not affiliated with Fernbank Science Center, which operates as a division of DeKalb County Schools.
