Come eye-to-eyes with over 250 real and preserved spider specimens in Spiders — From Fear to Fascination. Explore interactive elements, live and preserved spiders, dioramas, digital displays and more as you crawl your way through the fascinating world of these often-misunderstood arachnids.
Guests will gain a web of knowledge about spider anatomy, reproduction and growth, webs and silk, spider senses, and much more. Using the latest in augmented reality technology to create a fully immersive experience, guests will see what it’s like to walk through hundreds of scattering spiders along a glowing forest floor, compete in a mating dance-off with a jumping peacock spider and more. Live spiders are also displayed throughout the exhibition, giving audiences an opportunity to see spiders that they may not encounter in day-to-day life up close, including the infamously venomous Black Widow.
Sponsored locally in part by the Frances Wood Wilson Foundation.
This exhibit is presented in English and Spanish.
