Teen Forest Lab: Insects

Get up close and personal with Fernbank’s resident insects! Through hands-on activities like insect pinning and habitat exploration, teens will discover insects’ complex anatomy and amazing lifestyles. Participants will examine an array of insects and their relatives, both living and preserved, to learn more about the roles that insects serve in the ecosystem as pollinators, decomposers, and food sources.
This workshop is for teens only (ages 13-17 years old).
Cost: This program is $15 for Fernbank members and $30 for nonmembers. Your ticket for Teen Forest Lab: Insects includes a 2-hour workshop in Fernbank Forest, self-guided exploration of all museum exhibits and your choice of giant screen film.*
Space is limited to 20 people and reservations are required online. We cannot accept walk-ins. Program
Location: Participants will meet in the museum lobby, then proceed as a group to Fernbank Forest. Learn more about "Atlanta's hidden gem," Fernbank Forest.
