Reptile Day

Experience the wild world of reptiles, amphibians and more at Fernbank’s Reptile Day! With the help of herpetology and conservation partners from around the state, Fernbank is packing the museum full of these missssssunderstood animals. Come face-to-face with live snakes, lizards, turtles and other members of the animal kingdom,* and discover how we're not so different from each other after all.

Cost: included with General Admission. Members FREE.

Georgia Reptile Society
The Georgia Reptile Society educates Georgians about the wonderful world of reptiles, including keeping reptiles in human care.

Georgia Herpetological Society
The Georgia Herpetological Society is dedicated to educating and providing forever homes for pet reptiles. They provide experienced foster homes and veterinary care for reptiles in need.

Amphibian Foundation
The Amphibian Foundation is dedicated to connecting individuals, communities and organizations in order to create and implement lasting solutions to the global amphibian extinction crisis.

Atlanta Botanical Gardens 
The Atlanta Botanical Garden’s amphibian program promotes conservation through education, research and fieldwork.

Atlanta Reptile Jungle
Get up close and personal with a python or two and learn about these remarkable animals.

Turtles Animal Encounters

Get up close and personal with a few of the turtles from our summer exhibit. Presented by Little Ray’s Nature Centre. Limited capacity, arrive early!
