Have you ever wondered how scientists know if water is clean or not? Try your hand as an environmental scientist in the field in this hands-on workshop! Teens will investigate the health of a stream in Fernbank Forest by sampling water sources and testing the chemical, physical and biological indicators of ecosystem health. Using the data they collect, the group will explain whether the stream is healthy or not.
This workshop is for teens only (age 13-17 years old).
Cost: This program is $15 for Fernbank members and $30 for non members. Your ticket for Teen Forest Lab: Water Quality includes a 3-hour workshop in Fernbank Forest, self-guided exploration of all museum exhibits and your choice of giant screen film*.
Space is limited to 20 people and reservations are required online. We cannot accept walk-ins. Click on your desired date below to register.
