Explore and discover some of the animal world’s most unique critters through indoor and outdoor explorations, including displays featuring reptiles and amphibians from Fernbank’s animal collection.

Outdoor Reptile Gallery* 
As you explore WildWoods, be sure to check out critters from Fernbank’s live-animal collection, which educators will showcase along the pathway. Enjoy more than a dozen rotating encounters with lizards, snakes, turtles and baby alligators*. 

Reptile Stops are featured at the Petal Pod, bottom of the Highline Trace, Pavilion, Nature Gallery and Wildlife Sanctuary (refer to the mobile museum map for locations).  

Reptile Scavenger Hunt 
Slither your way through several of Fernbank’s indoor exhibits and outdoor spaces to complete this reptile- themed scavenger hunt. 

Take-Home Craft 
Before you go, pick-up this take-home craft that provides you an opportunity to create your own snake bracelet.

Fernbank Binocular Giveaway** 
Grab a brand-new pair of Fernbank binoculars to take into WildWoods and Fernbank Forest to enhance your reptile and nature spotting expedition. Find them at the Wildlife Sanctuary reptile station.

All purchases at the museum store go towards supporting Fernbank’s educational mission.
