May This be Fernbank’s Best Month Yet
It’s gonna be May, the month of Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day and Memorial Day. We can’t wait to show you and your family all there is to do, including amazing exhibits, events and films – all available daily!
ALMOST EXTINCT EXHIBIT — Ultimate Dinosaurs is only at Fernbank until May 4, so don’t miss your chance to see some dinosaurs from the Southern Hemisphere that aren’t as common as their northern counterparts!
GET OUTSIDE — Whether it be through one of our many guided hikes this month or by visiting Spirit Guides, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy our 75 acres of outdoor adventures.
NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM — Join us for our monthly, after-hours event, Fernbank After Dark: Night at the Museum on May 9! Those 21 and over can access the museum’s exhibits and special activities at night, all with a cocktail in hand.
A FUN NEW FILM — While we are saying goodbye to T. REX 3D, we’re also welcoming Coral Sea to the Giant Screen Theater starting May 17. Journey to the shores of Australia and learn all about the creatures that live there, especially the green sea turtle.
RARE FINDS — Opportunities like these are ones you don’t want to miss. Have a Girl Scout in your family? Stop by the museum on May 3 for Girls in the Great Outdoors! Then make sure to mark your calendars for a special archaeology lecture about Hernando de Soto’s expeditions in the Southeast on May 18.
