The Dog Days of Summer are Over – but the Superpower Dogs Hold Strong!

The Superpower Dogs have once again taken over the Giant Screen Theater! Sit back and em-bark on adventure as you discover the life-saving superpowers and extraordinary bravery of the six dogs featured. After you see the film, use Cosmic Pictures Learning Tools to find out your very own superpower, as well as information about dog health, diversity, training, careers and so much more.

Meet the Superpower Dogs

Halo | Superpower: Disaster Response

This Dutch Shephard joins his human partner “Cat” Labrada as they train in facilities in Texas, Georgia and Tennessee, including Disaster City, one of the most challenging facilities in the country. Find out if Halo and Cat pass the ultimate test: the Federal Emergency Management Association’s (FEMA) Foundation Skills Assessment (FSA) and Certification Exam (CE).

Henry | Superpower: Avalanche Rescue

Border Collie Henry and his human partner Ian Bunbury are a Senior Avalanche Rescue Dog Team with the Canadian Avalanche Rescue Dog Association. Not only does Henry use his unique Border Collie skills in herding to move both geese and bears out of conflicts, he accompanies Ian as a Ski Patroller on Whistler Mountain, where he helps respond to Avalanche Search and Rescue calls. Henry also helps with education demonstrations and training, including helicopter extrication.

Reef | Superpower Water Rescue

Reef is a Newfoundland who, along with human partner Ferruccio Pilenga, teaches other dogs to develop instincts to save human lives from the water. Reef can deploy from helicopter or boat, and can swim for miles; she can also tow up to 40 times her own weight in the water.

Ricochet | Superpower: Emotional Support

Watch as Ricochet, a Golden Retriever, jumps on a surfboard and improves the lives of individuals with physical, cognitive or emotional disabilities. Learn about Ricochet and her human partner Judy Fridono, as they work on their Waves of Empowerment program, where they mentor veterans with PTSD and kids with special needs in canine assisted surfing, paddling, swimming, playing and therapy.

Tony & Tipper | Endangered Species Protection

These twin Bloodhound brothers have spent their lives protecting the residents of the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya, including endangered rhinos and threatened elephants. Tony and Tipper, along with their human partners in the Kenyan Wildlife Service, have helped in the arrest of over 40 poachers and other criminals, including cattle raiders. They are the only member of the animal kingdom with authority to testify in trial!

See all of these dogs in action in the Giant Screen Movie, Superpower Dogs, now showing through October 2025.
