In a very Jurassic time of our lives this June at Fernbank

Gather your herd and stomp through our packed summer calendar!

The temps are rising around Atlanta, and Fernbank is gearing up for a dino-mite summer of activities guaranteed to make you roar. The party starts on June 12 with Fernbank After Dark: Game Changers, a 21+ night of exploration dedicated to the science of sports. Start your World Cup weekend off right with specialty cocktails, hands-on programming, and fun memories just waiting to be made.

The party continues that same weekend with Explorasaurus Rex, a day of discovery to welcome the king of dinosaurs to Fernbank. Join us Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. as we celebrate the arrival of T. rex: The Ultimate Predator with family fun activities that are sure to inspire your wild side. This event is included with General Admission and is FREE for members!

Want more reasons to roar? Encounter events of prehistoric proportion all summer long during Dinosaur Summer - including the return of Fernbank’s premier late-night event for all ages, LATER: Rex Factor. It’s casual, curious and just the right way to kick off the weekend as you connect, discover, and unwind in a chill atmosphere for all ages. It’s exactly like Fernbank...but LATER! The first event is on June 26. 

The dinos don't stop there, however. Settle in for T. REX in the Giant Screen Theater, visit some of our permanent dinos in Giants of the Mesozoic (hard to miss in our three-story Great Hall) and Dinosaur Plaza, and see Tiny, the Schleich animatronic, come to life. The Museum Store also features some awesome dino souvenirs, perfect for Father's Day!

Want to experience an exhibit that is out of this world? Explore space from the comfort of our recently updated Star Gallery, featuring Our Place in the Cosmos. Prepare to have your reality altered as you take a personal tour of the Georgia night sky. Embark on an interstellar journey detailing the creation of our universe on a screen that spans 22 feet wide.
