ATLANTA— Fernbank Museum of Natural History is hosting a night full of ghosts, ghouls and goblins with its annual Halloween extravaganza during a special edition of Martinis & IMAX®. Bursting with enough energy and noise to wake the dead, Fernbank will come alive on Friday, October 25, serving up two films, “Penguins” and “Hidden Universe.”

“Many Atlantans search for the most daring, out of the box Halloween party to attend,” said Allison Fry, Director of Beverage Services. “Martinis & IMAX provides you with a one-of-a-kind experience. The music, movies and of course, unique backdrop with the largest and most frightening carnivore to roam the Earth, create a Halloween scene like no other.”

Along with experiencing a flick on the biggest screen in town, Fright Night goers will enjoy live music and entertainment from the energetic and soulful Bogey and the Viceroy. Bogey and the Viceroy play a spellbinding variety of old school rock ‘n soul with a hint of contemporary favorites. Before and after setting their sights on the enormous IMAX screen, Martinis & IMAX Fright Night guests are encouraged to eat, drink, dance and mingle in the Great Hall and experience a party that is frighteningly fun. Attendees may purchase specialty cocktails, such as the CosmO-positive and Witch’s Brew concoctions featuring SVEDKA Vodka, and ready-to-order treats from the Fernbank Café. To round out the night, those daring enough are encouraged to participate in a hideously-hilarious costume contest with prizes for the winning entries.

Fright Night is held on Friday, October 25, from 6:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. Cover for the event is $7, but the cover charge is free for museum members and for attendees purchasing an IMAX ticket. IMAX tickets are $13 for adults, $12 for students and seniors, and $8 for members.
