at Fernbank’s Claws & Paws Weekend
ATLANTA –Fernbank Museum of Natural History will continue its celebration of the summer series, 97 Days of Play, with Claws & Paws Weekend on Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy many paws-on, animal-themed activities, including:
Learn more about tropical bird adaptations through this lively demonstration.
Be an animal detective and try to find animals hidden in plain sight in this camouflage activity.
Bear Hat Craft
Transform yourself into a roaming cub with a bear hat craft.
Animals Inside and Out
Take a closer look at animals from nose to tail and all the bones in between using real animal x-rays.
Polar Bear Photo Stop
Put your best claw forward as you slip on a pair of polar bear feet at this photo opportunity.
Wildlife Wonders (Saturday only)
Join Wildlife Wonders for a live animal show featuring mammals and birds. A short meet and greet will follow each show.
Sam’s Path Petting Zoo (Sunday only)
Lemurs, hedgehogs, porcupines, and a kangaroo! Meet some fantastic mammals up close and personal.
Claws & Paws Weekendis part of Fernbank’s 97 Days of Play summer series, which features a variety of unique family activities and events. School may be back in session, but learning and fun can still continue outside of the classroom.
Claws & Paws Weekend is included with Museum admission. Admission to Fernbank is $17.50 for adults, $16.50 for students and seniors with ID, $15.50 for children ages 3 to 12, FREE for children 2 and under and FREE for Museum members.
