Fernbank Museum Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Annual Gala,
A Timeless Affair 2012: Genghis Khan—The Emperor’s Feast, on October 6
ATLANTA—Fernbank Museum of Natural History will celebrate 20 years of success by hosting its annual black-tie benefit gala,A Timeless Affair 2012: Genghis Khan—The Emperor’s Feast on Saturday, October 6 from 7 p.m. to midnight.
The unforgettable event will include grand festivities fit for the occasion. The evening will begin with a sunset wine and cocktail hour on the Dinosaur Plaza, followed by an elegant seated dinner in the Great Hall. The delicious cuisine for the evening will be provided by Affairs to Remember. Atlanta-based band, Livin’ Large will supply the music for those on the dance floor, and attendees will have the opportunity to take home one-of-a-kind prizes, including international travel opportunities, from the event’s live auction.
Guests will also be treated to an exclusive viewing of Genghis Khan– the first major exhibition devoted to the legendary conqueror who Timeand the Washington Posthave named one of the most important people of the last millennium. Genghis Khan showcases the largest collection of 13th-century Mongolian artifacts ever assembled, including a mummy, extraordinarily rare jewelry, clothing, musical instruments and weaponry.
The special evening will honor Francis “Duffie” Woodruff DuBose, Eileen and Bo DuBose and Dean DuBose Smith and Bronnie Smith. The DuBose family has played a significant role in strengthening the Museum’s exhibitions and archaeology initiatives.
Event Chairsfor A Timeless Affair 2012 are Melissa and Craig Allen and Ashley and Prescott Miller, who have been actively working to make this year’s gala the best and most successful yet.

All proceeds from The Emperor’s Feast will go towards furthering Fernbank’s ability to educate and inspire our community through world-class cultural and science programming.
