Enjoy the great outdoors with Fernbank Museum educators on a guided tour of Fernbank Forestwith a focus on geology. Suitable for ages 8 and up.

Saturday, September 19 from 8:30am – 11am
Join an Atlanta Audubon Society volunteer and discover more about the feathered inhabitants of Fernbank Forest, both permanent residents and visitors. This program is excellent for beginning birders or those desiring gentle terrain.

FERNBANK FOREST GUIDED TREE TOUR

Sunday, September 27 from 1pm – 3pm
Plants, pollinators and preservation are key to healthy ecosystems. Join Fernbank’s ecologist on a tour of Fernbank Forest’s trees and interactions within the ecosystem.

TADPOLE TALES

Offered monthly on select weekends
This monthly program features a story and a special activity or song led by a Fernbank educator. Perfect for preschoolers. Dates and topics change monthly. Please refer to the Calendar of Events for specific listings.

STORYTELLING

Offered at noon on the second Saturday of each month, September-May
Join us in Fernbank NatureQuest for exciting tales about the natural world with Rob Cleveland, Fernbank's storyteller-in-residence. This program is suitable for children ages 3 and up.

Weekends in the Naturalist Center

Ongoing
Enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities every weekend in the Naturalist Center. Activities vary from animal encounters to science explorations and more, and will be available every weekend. Check the activity sign when you arrive to see what's happening. Included with Museum admission. Free for members.

MARTINIS & IMAX SUMMER BLOCK PARTY

Fridays* from 7pm – 11pm through August 28
As the weather heats up, we are cooling things down with a Summer Block Party, featuring a unique pair of micro craft breweries each month, a variety of games, new films in the IMAX® Theatre and different live entertainment every Friday night. Standard Martinis & IMAX® ticket prices apply.

A TIMELESS AFFAIR 2015: LEGEND OF THE QUEEN OF SHEBA

Saturday, October 3 at 7pm
Join us for A Timeless Affair 2015: Legend of the Queen of Sheba, Fernbank’s signature benefit gala. Festivities include cocktails, a seated dinner, live and silent auctions, dancing and a private viewing of the special exhibitions, Searching for the Queen of Sheba and Women of Vision. Patron levels begin at $1,600 and tables of 10 begin at $12,000.

Every 3rd Friday during Martinis & IMAX® from 7pm – 11pm
Monthly Salsa Dance Nights bring Salsambo Dance Studio to Martinis & IMAX®, offering incredible opportunities to enjoy Latin dancing (or appreciating the dance skills of others) with early-evening lessons for those who want a little practice before they heat up the dance floor.
