TADPOLE TALES

Join us inside Fernbank NatureQuest for this monthly event. Preschoolers will enjoy a story with a Fernbank educator along with an activity or song. February's story is Mammoths on the Move by Lisa Wheeler.

WILD ABOUT: ANIMALS
Saturday, February 25 from 10am – 2pm
We are WILD about animals and hope you are too! Join us for a special day celebrating animals and animal-conservation, inspired by the special exhibition Wildlife Rescue.

WILD ABOUT: archaeology
Saturday, March 24 from 10am – 2pm
Dig in for a day of family fun and discover how archaeology works through hands-on activities, displays and demonstrations.

DINOSAUR EGG HUNT

Fernbank’s Dinosaur Egg Hunt is returning with expanded egg hunt times, additional giveaways, games, and more. You’ll need a bigger basket.
TO THE ARCTIC OPENING CELEBRATION

Help us celebrate the opening of the new IMAX® film, To The Arctic. Bring your cubs and enjoy a variety of Arctic-themed activities.
PIRATE & PRINCESS WEEKEND

Well, blow me down! Those scallywag pirates and poised princesses are once again taking over Fernbank Museum during a fun-filled weekend adventure. Join us in your favorite pirate or princess costume for hands-on activities, games and much more.

SCOOP ON POOP OPENING DAY CELEBRATION

Join us for a celebration of Fernbank’s newest special exhibition Scoop on Poop. This fun and fascinating exhibition illustrates what we can learn about an animal by what it leaves behind.
STORYTELLING
Offered at noon on the second Saturday of each month, September-May
Join us in Fernbank NatureQuest for exciting tales about the natural world with Rob Cleveland, Fernbank's storyteller-in-residence. This program is suitable for children ages 3 and up.
Weekends in the Naturalist Center

Enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities every weekend in the Naturalist Center. Activities vary from animal encounters to science explorations and more, and will be available every weekend. Check the activity sign when you arrive to see what's happening. Included with Museum admission. Free for members.

LOST OASIS 2012: 2O YEARS OF ROAR

Celebrate 20 Years of Fernbank at one of the most anticipated events of the summer! Join us for a roaring 20s-themed party featuring a speakeasy atmosphere complete with live music, flappers, dancing, cuisine and libations.

Salsa Night
Every 3rd Friday during Martinis & IMAX® from 6:30pm – 11pm
Monthly Salsa Nights bring Salsambo Dance Studio to Martinis & IMAX®, offering incredible opportunities to enjoy Latin dancing (or appreciating the dance skills of others) with early-evening lessons for those who want a little practice before they heat up the dance floor. A special guest DJ provides the rhythmic beats. Standard Martinis & IMAX® ticket prices apply.
