What is FUN?
FUN (Fernbank Ultimate Naturalists) is an energetic group of Fernbank’s Museum’s younger enthusiasts interested in science and nature. It’s a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills, earn community service hours or develop a future career path. FUN volunteers range from ages 12 to 17.

What We Do
FUN volunteers staff the discovery carts in the Great Hall at Fernbank Museum teaching Museum visitors about dinosaurs, ancient sea life and archaeology. FUN volunteers also participate in UrbanWatch Atlanta as “eco-helpers,” assist with family programming days, go on field trips, and attend IMAX® previews and social events.
Get Involved
Volunteering with FUN is open to Fernbank Museum members at the Family membership level and higher. To receive information about the next application period, send an e-mail to volunteer@fernbank.edu, and we will add you to the FUN mailing list.
