Ends of the Earth Opening Day Celebration

Atlanta’s never felt so cool! Celebrate the opening of Ends of the Earth: From Polar Bears to Penguins with a day of family fun including special activities, fun and games with the Radio Disney Street Team, and much more!

Reptile Day
Saturday, July 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Get up close and personal with some of nature’s most misunderstood creatures—reptiles. An assortment of reptiles and amphibians will be on display and members of the Georgia Herpetological Society will be on hand to answer questions and educate guests on the importance of these animals.
Cost: Included with Museum admission. Free for members.
Fernbank Forest® Family Walk
Saturday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to noon
Join Fernbank biologists to explore the important role water plays in our environment. Search for and identify amphibians and invertebrates in Fernbank Forest, and observe tiny aquatic organisms under field microscopes. Includes crafts, an animal encounter and refreshments.
Cost: Members: $7; non-members: $12; children 3 and under: free. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration and payment deadline is June 20. Space is limited. To reserve your space, call 404.929.6379 or e-mail programs@fernbank.edu.
Dinosaur Birthday Bash
Saturday, August 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Enjoy a birthday party of gigantic proportions! This family-friendly event features fun-filled, dinosaur-themed activities celebrating the seventh anniversary of the permanent exhibition Giants of the Mesozoic, featuring the world’s largest dinosaurs.

Naturalist Center Geology Lab
Offered on select weekdays and select Saturdays with advance reservations only.
Bring your geological finds to our lab where Fernbank geologists will be available to answer your questions and identify rocks, minerals and fossils.
