Go gaga for geckos with two days packed with gecko-themed family fun, presented as part of Fernbank’s 97 Days (and Ways) to Play.

Saturday, August 7 Activities
Galileo the Gecko
10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Museum-wide
Enjoy photo opportunities with local performer Kevin Pittman in a special gecko costume created for Fernbank Museum. Don’t forget your camera!
One More Generation
10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Great Hall
Enjoy live animal encounters, games, crafts and more while learning about the importance of protecting endangered species.
Gecko Game Corner
10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Great Hall
Enjoy self-guided geckos activities including tic-tac-toe, bean bag toss and coloring sheets.
Gecko Lab
11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Naturalist Center
Learn more about geckos in a special session of Weekend Wonders.
Boogie Woogie Bullfrog by Jerry Zee
12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., Auditorium (Limited seating.)
Enjoy a playful story about a larger-than-life frog, with a whole lot of spring in his step, who reminds us to care for the world we all share. Features live music and original songs.
