It’s a DINO-MITE weekend at Atlanta’s home to dinosaurs! The highlight of the weekend will be Fernbank’s annual Dinosaur Birthday Bash event on Saturday.
And join us Sunday for these great activities:
Dinosaur Lab
Noon to 4 p.m., the Naturalist Center
Learn more about dinosaurs with special hands-on activities led by a Fernbank educator during a special session of Weekend Wonders.
Dinosaur Game Corner
12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Great Hall
Enjoy a variety of fun dinosaur-themed games including an egg balancing game and tic-tac-toe.
Big Saurus, Little Saurus by Cathy Kaemmerlen
1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., Auditorium
Enjoy a fun introduction to dinosaurs using rhymes, stories, games song and lots of audience participation. (Limited seating.)
Triton the Triceratops
(Times TBD), Museum-wide
Enjoy photo opportunities with local performer Kevin Pittman in a special dinosaur costume created for Fernbank. Don’t forget your camera!
All Show & Tail Weekend activities are included with Museum admission and are FREE for members. Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 29 for a Bug Out Festival.
