Martinis & IMAX® Kicks Off 2007 Season
A twist on the classic dinner and a movie night out, Fernbank’s Martinis & IMAX presented by Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc., has become one of the most popular, successful and widely replicated cultural events in Atlanta. On January 5, 2007, Fernbank’s Martinis & IMAX® will return to the Atlanta social scene for its 12th season.
Perfect for singles, couples, or groups of friends and coworkers, Martinis & IMAX® offers a relaxed, social atmosphere with just the right touch of class to start the weekend. Martinis & IMAX® is held every Friday night, January through November, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The evening features a variety of films in the IMAX® Theatre, specialty martinis, a full bar, appetizers, dinner selections, dessert options, and live music provided by some of Atlanta’s best jazz artists.Bands perform live from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The Martinis & IMAX® film schedule includes an under the sea adventure in Deep Sea and a journey to an ancient civilization in Greece: Secrets of the Past, through January 19. Beginning January 20, take a top-tapping, jazz-fueled trip to the bayous and swamps of southern Louisiana and experience the magical beauty of the Louisiana bayou and the city of New Orleans, before and after Hurricane Katrina when Hurricane on the Bayou opens in the IMAX® Theatre.

Tickets, which include admission to the IMAX® Theatre, are $11. For those who wish to enjoy the atmosphere of Martinis & IMAX® without attending a film presentation, there is a $5 cover charge after 6:30 p.m.
