Dinosaur Birthday Bash Promises Prehistoric Fun
Fernbank Museum Celebrates Fifth Anniversary of World’s Largest Dinosaurs
ATLANTA—It’s a birthday party of gigantic proportions for the dinosaur stars of Fernbank Museum’s permanent exhibition Giants of the Mesozoic. The world’s largest dinosaurs will celebrate their fifth anniversary at the Museum at the Dinosaur Birthday Bash on Saturday, August 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The celebration will include a number of dinosaur and birthday-themed activities—from crafts to tasty birthday treats. Children can search for fossils in the Fossil Fun dir or dress up in a hat and vest like a paleontologist so Mom and Dad can take their picture next to the skull of a Giganotosaurus.
Many of the fun, family activities scheduled will take place in the Great Hall, where visitors will find Giants of the Mesozoic, featuring the meat-eating Giganotosaurus and the plant-eating Argentinosaurus—along with other prehistoric residents, including flying reptiles known as pterosaurs.
