On Christmas Eve, two children are rescued from the cold by their friend the Candleman—a happy and wise fellow who brings holiday cheer by reading them the classic tale, "The Night Before Christmas."
The children are magically transported into the story and become the characters as it unfolds on the giant movie screen, complete with Santa’s visit to their home with his full team of reindeer. Of course, no visit from Santa can end until the stockings hung on the fireplace are filled and gifts abound under the glittering Christmas tree.
As Santa and his sleigh take off into the night sky, the children find themselves back in the Candleman’s cottage, eager to make their way home and find what treasures await, but not before the Candleman shows them that the true meaning of Christmas is found through giving to others.
As a special gift at the end of the film, the magic of movie-making is unwrapped for a special behind-the-scenes look at the artistry involved in creating this stop-motion animation adventure.
