Volunteer Greeter

Position Summary
To provide excellent customer service to visitors at Museum entrance.

Responsibilities

• Greet each visitor with a smile
• Ensure visitors have appropriate tickets to enter the Museum and/or IMAX® Theatre
• Orient guests to Museum layout
• Distribute visitor guides, exhibition guides and membership brochures
• Encourage visitors to become members and direct them to ticketing as appropriate
• Answer various questions regarding hours, exhibition locations and facilities
• Help visitors plan their self-guided visit as traffic flow permits
• Coordinate flow of school groups as needed

Qualifications/Expectations
Seeking volunteer candidate who is friendly; customer service-oriented; able to stand for four-hour shift; comfortable working in a busy environment; appears as scheduled for shift; possesses general knowledge of the Museum; adheres to volunteer dress code and follows Museum polices and procedures. Must be 18 years or older to volunter for this position.

Time Commitment
Must commit to a minimum of 1, four-hour shift per month.
