March 3 – June 10, 2018*
Be it a bungalow or a “McMansion,” homes are as unique as the people who inhabit them. But what about birds? If a bird could design a “dream home,” what do you think it’d look like? This new outdoor exhibit will feature a collection of unique, nature-inspired birdhouses made by members of the community. Spring Birdhouses will be located in the WildWoods Nature Gallery.
Fernbank Museum is asking members of the community to design, build and submit a birdhouse to be included in this special exhibit. The competition is open to artists or groups who reside or are based in Georgia. Individuals of all ages are welcome to enter, but children under the age of 16 must be registered by an adult over the age of 18. Groups must have a primary contact.
A jury of Fernbank staff will select approximately 25 birdhouses to be featured. Awards will be given for 1st place ($250 cash), 2nd place (1 year Fernbank Explorer Membership) and 3rd place (4 giant screen movie passes).
