Curious Cardinal Day

Join us for a day of celebrating the Curious Cardinal!  Created in partnership between the Alliance Theatre, Fernbank Museum and PNC Bank, this performance explores local animal life and seasonal changes.

In addition to two performances of The Curious Cardinal, explore other themed activities around the museum.

Included with General Admission. Members FREE!

The Curious Cardinal | Great Hall, 1st Floor

11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

As the seasons come and go in this Georgia forest, so too do all the varied wildlife. Except for the curious cardinal, “CC,” who stays the entire year, curiously exploring all the changes that the seasons bring. This performance celebrates the majesty of the natural habitats of Georgia and the daily adventures of an ever-changing world.

Created in partnership between the Alliance Theatre, Kathy and Ken Bernhardt Theater for the Very Young, Fly on the Wall, PNC Bank and Fernbank Museum.

Ages 0 - 5

All About Birds | Sky High Exhibit, 3rd Floor

1:15 – 1:45 p.m.

Come learn about ornithology, the study of birds. Explore what makes a bird a bird, why different species have unique beak shapes and more!

Ages 5 - 10

Take Flight | STEAM Lab, 3rd Floor

10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Explore the principles of flight with hands-on activities.  Experiment with lift and Bernoulli principal, make paper planes and more. 

Ages 8+

Story time | Francis Wood Wilson Foundation Theater, 1st Floor

2:15  – 2:45 p.m.

Join a Fernbank Educator for a special story and demonstration.
