Homeschool Opportunities
Homeschool groups are invited to enjoy many of the same opportunities offered to traditional school groups, including special educational admission prices, no group minimums and access to free curriculum resources such as Educational Kits and exhibition guides. You can also pre-order sack lunches and souvenir kits for a nominal fee. Homeschool groups are welcome in any of our on-site school programs, provided that program capacity minimums and grade level requirements are met.
Because homeschool groups are typically smaller, we invite you to participate in other Museum programming, not available to school groups such as Star Talk, Ask A Geologist, family activity days, regional trips, Fernbank Forest® family walks and more. To give your students more time and space to explore, we recommend that you visit in the afternoon on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or weekends.
If you are unsure if your homeschool group qualifies for a specific field trip opportunity, please call 404.929.6320 to speak to a Field Trip Team member.
