Reptile Day

Lizards, turtles and salamanders—oh my! Come face-to-face with table after table of live reptiles and amphibians, including pythons, king snakes, geckos, tortoises, monitors, iguanas, and many more!

This popular annual event offers a unique opportunity to interact with and learn more about these unique and ecologically important creatures during this popular annual event.

Presented as part of 97 Days of Play, Fernbank’s summer-long series of fun. 

Scheduled Activities*

LIVE Reptile Displays
10am – 2pm, Great Hall

  • Featuring Fernbank Museum educators, as well as displays from:
  • Atlanta Botanical Garden
  • Atlanta Herpetology Club of Georgia State University
  • Georgia Reptile Society
  • Orianne Society
  • And more 

Remarkable Reptiles
11am, 1pm, and 2pm, Auditorium
Fernbank educators will feature some of the cool critters from the Museum’s live animal collection in these special presentations. (Limited seating.)
