We are ready for blast-off! You’re invited to join our mission to learn more about space, astronomy and how scientists learn about our universe through hands-on activities and demonstrations.
Scheduled Activities for Saturday, September 22*

Science Zone: Space Science Exploration
11am, 1pm Great Hall
Discover what it means to be an astronaut, explore scale models of the Sun and Earth, see how cold outer space is with liquid nitrogen, and explore space through many exciting experiments.
GSU Astronomy
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Talk with real astronomers and explore space themed hands-on activities.
Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Viewing
10am – 2pm, Dinosaur Plaza
Meet local astronomer Stephen Ramsden and explore, with his specially made telescopes, the only star that can be seen during the daytime, the Sun. (Weather permitting)
Moon Phase Journal
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Decorate your Moon Phase Journal and take it home to record what the moon looks like when you see it high in the sky.
Guess the Constellation
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
I spy Orion! Test your skills and see if you can match the stars you see with the constellation.
Rings Around Saturn
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Test your skills and see if you can get the rings back around the fifth planet in the solar system in this fun game.
Solar System Bingo
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Fly through our solar system and explore astronomical bodies close to us in this fun game.
