Carnival Science Day

Saturday, July 26 from 10am – 2pm

Embrace your inner-scientist! Enjoy special performances, lively demonstrations, a variety of carnival games and more.

Presented as part of 97 Days of Play, Fernbank’s summer-long series of fun.

Scheduled Activities*

The Imperial OPA
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Be amazed by hoop dancers, stilt walkers and musicians as they do tricks, acts and pose for pictures. 

Carnival Game Corner
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Try your hand at a ring toss and other carnival-themed games. 

Carnival Fun Temporary Tattoos
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Carnivals aren’t complete without fun tattoos. 

Giggy A. Dinosaur
10am – 2pm, Museum-wide
Make sure to say hello to Fernbank’s dino-mite mascot.

Nano Technology Station
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
How small is nano? A human hair can be as thin as 10,000 nanometers thick. Interact with nano materials and investigate how nanotechnology may impact our future.

Air Up There by Big Thinkers Science Exploration
11:30am and 1pm, Auditorium
Learn about the air around us as screaming rocket balloons and smoke rings are launched into the crowd. Limited seating. 

Cost: Carnival Science Day activities are included with Museum admission and are free for members.
