Butterfly Gliders

How far can you make a paper butterfly soar?

Monarchs Across Georgia
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Learn about the Mexico Book Project, a literacy effort in partnership with schools near the Mexican overwintering sanctuaries, and Monarch Watch, a citizen science monarch tagging project.

Butterfly or Moth?
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Do you know the difference? This fun activity will test your identification skills.

Callaway Gardens
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Meet a representative from Callaway Gardens, home to the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center, and learn how to create a butterfly pollinator garden.

Atlanta Botanical Garden
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Find out how you can start your own butterfly garden with help from the Atlanta Botanical Garden, who will provide make-and-take seed plantings. (While supplies last.)

Butterfly Tattoos
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
After you become a butterfly expert, earn your wings with these temporary tattoos.

Fernbank Mascot
10am – 2pm, Museum wide
Say hello to Fernbank’s mascot, Giggy A. Dinosaur!

Storytelling
Noon. Auditorium (Limited seating)
Join us for exciting tales about the natural world with Rob Cleveland, Fernbank's storyteller-in-residence.
