Q. When will I receive my membership cards?
A. Your membership cards should arrive in the mail within two to four weeks of the date of purchase. If it has been longer than four weeks and you have not received your cards, please call 404.929.6340.
Q. Can I visit Fernbank Museum before I receive my membership cards?
A. Yes. Please bring the receipt from your membership purchase and a photo ID for admission as well as to receive discounts on IMAX® tickets and in the Museum Store and The Fernbank Café.
Q. Do I need to have tickets to get into the Museum?
A. Fernbank Museum tracks attendance by the number of tickets issued, so each time you visit the Museum you will need to get tickets. Please show your membership card and photo ID at the Members Express window for your complimentary Museum tickets.
Q. How do I purchase discounted IMAX® tickets?
A. You may call the box office at 404.929.6400 to make advance ticket reservations, or visit the Members Express window at the Museum. Members do not pay a convenience charge for tickets purchased over the phone.
Q. Why do I have to present my membership card and a photo ID for admission and discounts?
A. Fernbank Museum requires members to present their membership card along with a photo ID to prevent the misuse of membership privileges. Please note that IDs for all listed members will be checked. Fernbank Museum is a non-profit institution that relies on Museum and IMAX® ticket sales, membership sales, and donations to keep its doors open for the community.
Q. Can I let a friend or family member not listed on my membership use my card?
A: No, your membership benefits are exclusively for the individuals listed on your membership. Memberships are non-transferrable and non-refundable.
Q. Can I send my nanny to Fernbank Museum with my children?
A. Fernbank's Caregiver Enhancement ($25 per caregiver; with a maximum of two caregivers per membership) allows a nanny or grandparent to visit Fernbank Museum with the member's children. This feature also allows a nurse or medical assistant to visit the Museum with adult members who need aid. For security purposes, we require that you provide us with the name of your caregiver. We limit a change in listed caregiver to once per membership period.
Q. Is there a senior or student discount on membership?
A. Seniors (65 and above) and college students qualify to receive a 10% discount on an Individual or Family/Dual membership. A valid photo ID is required.
Q: Is there an educator discount on membership?
A: There are discounted prices for professional certified educators on the Individual, Family/Dual, Family Advantage and IMAX® Advantage membership levels. In order to receive the educator discount, you are required to show your educator ID or Georgia Declaration of Intent when purchasing or renewing your membership
Q. If I had a Family Advantage, IMAX Advantage or Patron membership, can I use my complimentary passes once my membership has lapsed?
A. IMAX® and Museum guest passes expire when your membership expires. You must use your IMAX® and Museum guest passes while your membership for the current year is active.
Q. What happens if my membership cards are lost or stolen?
A. Call the Member Services Office at 404.929.6340 to request replacement cards. There is a $4 replacement card fee.
Q. Does Fernbank Museum accept matching gift donations?
A. Yes. We encourage matching gift donations from your employer as we are a non-profit that relies on the generosity and support of others.
